YCP Detroit Executive Speaker Series is a free event every last Wednesday of the month in which executives share their professional and faith journeys with young professionals in their 20’s and 30’s, challenging them to ‘Work in Witness for Christ!’ Complimentary beer, wine, and appetizers are provided before and after the speaker.

SPEAKER BIO
Bashar Kirma is a native of Baghdad, Iraq, and lived through the first two years of the First Gulf War. He became an atheist in his youth and later converted to Christianity through his study of science, history, logic and reason. Bashar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Detroit-Mercy and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University with a focus on Electric/Hybrid Vehicles and Alternative Energy. Kirma has 18 years of experience in sales, engineering, team leadership, strategic planning and business development. He founded Silent Saints Ministry, which after 10 years developed into “Silent Saints” TV show and has been featured on Catholic Television Network of Detroit (CTND) and Noursat (Catholic Television for Middle East). Bashar is a husband and father to four children. He is currently writing a book to be titled: “From Atheist To Eucharist…FATE?”
