Eileen Newell is Vice President of Tax for Rock Ventures LLC, the umbrella entity formed to provide operational coordination, guidance, and integration to Dan Gilbert’s Family of Companies, including Quicken Loans, Bedrock and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Newell is responsible for the tax compliance and tax strategy in the rapidly changing business environment impacting the Family of Companies.
Eileen earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN and a Juris Doctorate from The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC. Upon completion of her education, she returned to her native home in the Detroit area where she is a member of the Michigan State Bar and a Michigan Certified Public Accountant.
Prior to joining Rock Ventures LLC, Newell spent twelve years at Deloitte Tax LLP. She currently serves on the Taxation Committee of the U.S Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of Forgotten Harvest, and the Public Relations and Development Committee for the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Detroit. As a member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Allen Park and an alumna of the parish schools, she has served on the Parish Council and has coached basketball and soccer within the CYO and the Catholic League.
